To date (30 November 2011) we have raised €224,596

Our fundraising target to build the temple is €1.8 MILLION - not so much considering the significance of the project!

This comprises €1million to build the Meditation Centre/Temple, and €800,000 to complete the project with ancillary buildings, sacred decoration and landscaping -

In terms of a timeline: we have full planning permission and the site is prepared. Temple Project Ireland is poised to commence!

The team are confident that once we have raised €500,000, and shown that a new Meditation Centre at Dzogchen Beara is an aspiration shared by thousands of people, then major donors and funding organisations that we have presented the project to will match-fund our total.

We hope to begin in 2012, and construction will take approximately 18 months.

As it says in the Kunzang Lama’i Shelung (Words of My Perfect Teacher):

“Do not take lightly small good deeds,
Believing they can hardly help,
For drops of water one at a time
In time can fill a giant pot.”
